DCW chairperson calls for education, skills for shelter home women

In Delhi, there is a special place called a shelter home where women and girls who need care and protection can stay.

A leader named Lata Gupta, who is the head of a group called the Delhi Commission for Women, visited this shelter home.

She talked to the women and children living there and gave them gifts.

She said that every girl should live in a clean place.

She believes girls and women should go to school and learn new skills.

Learning and skills can make them feel confident and independent.

When they leave the shelter, she wants them to feel proud and not pressured by society.

She said that women's respect is the greatest pride of our country.

The commission will work to make sure these women and children get a better education and better lives.
