Karnataka Government Reshuffles IPS Officers, Names Mangaluru Law DCP
The Karnataka government has moved several senior police officers to new jobs.
Sam Varghese will become the law-and-order police chief in Mangaluru City.
He was previously leading the Criminal Investigation Department in Bengaluru.
The Mangaluru position was empty after Mithun HN moved to a job in Gadag.
Anita Bhimappa Haddannavar will take Varghese’s former CID position.
Lakshmi Ganesh K will take Haddannavar’s former Bengaluru post.
Ram L Arasiddi will become Bengaluru City’s intelligence police chief.
The changes take effect immediately where stated by the government order.

Varghese was transferred from his post as Superintendent of Police, CID, Bengaluru.
The Mangaluru DCP post became vacant after Mithun HN was transferred to become SP, Gadag.
Anita Bhimappa Haddannavar will replace Varghese as Superintendent of Police, CID, Bengaluru.
Ram L Arasiddi was named DCP, Intelligence, Bengaluru City, while Lakshmi Ganesh K became DCP, South West, Bengaluru.
