Karnataka Appoints New Police Commissioners for Hubballi-Dharwad, Belagavi
Karnataka’s government has changed several police officers’ jobs.
Bhushan Gulabrao Borase will lead the police in Hubballi-Dharwad.
He previously led the police in Belagavi City.
N. Shashi Kumar is leaving the Hubballi-Dharwad commissioner’s position.
Nikam Prakash Amrit will become the new police commissioner in Belagavi City.
Other senior police officers have also been moved to different departments.
Some of the new posts have been upgraded.
The changes begin immediately and last until the government issues another order.
Bhushan Gulabrao Borase has been appointed Deputy Inspector General of Police and Commissioner of Police, Hubballi-Dharwad.
N. Shashi Kumar has been transferred from the Hubballi-Dharwad commissioner’s post.
Nikam Prakash Amrit will replace Borase as Deputy Inspector General of Police and Commissioner of Police, Belagavi City.
Several senior IPS officers received new postings, including Harishekaran P., M. Nanjundaswami, Devajyoti Ray and Amit Singh.
The transfers take effect immediately and will remain in force until further orders.
