Delhi Police Reshuffles Senior Posts Ahead of BRICS Summit
The Delhi Police changed many senior officers’ jobs.
This was the first major reshuffle after Anurag Kumar became commissioner.
The changes were announced ahead of the BRICS Summit in New Delhi.
Ajay Chaudhary will lead traffic again, while Manish Aggarwal will lead the Security unit.
Garima Bhatnagar will also take charge of the police housing corporation.
Several officers will move to crime, Special Branch, technology, transport and district roles.
Some officers joined from places including Arunachal Pradesh and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
The summit is scheduled for September 12 and 13.
The Delhi Police carried out a major senior-level reshuffle, its first since Anurag Kumar became commissioner.
Garima Bhatnagar received additional charge of Delhi Police Housing Corporation Limited alongside Special CP/EOW.
Ajay Chaudhary was given charge of traffic, while Manish Aggarwal was moved to head the Security unit.
Several officers were reassigned to Special Branch, Crime, IFSO, district policing, transport, technology and other units.
The changes came ahead of the 18th BRICS Summit, scheduled for September 12-13 in New Delhi.
