Odisha Government Reshuffles Six Senior IPS Officers
The Odisha government moved six senior police officers into new jobs.
Himansu Kumar Lal will lead the Economic Offences Wing and also oversee the Special Task Force.
Satyabrat Bhoi will become the state’s Intelligence chief.
The previous Intelligence chief, Jai Narayan Pankaj, will lead the Southern Range.
Niti Shekhar will work on provisioning at police headquarters.
Charan Singh Meena will become DIG of the Northern Range.
Ashish Kumar Singh will become DIG of the Northern Central Range and continue as principal of the Police Training College in Angul.
The changes affect intelligence, economic-crime investigations, special operations, and regional policing.
The new assignments are expected to begin immediately.
Himansu Kumar Lal was appointed IGP of the Economic Offences Wing and given additional charge of the Special Task Force.
Satyabrat Bhoi became IGP of Intelligence, replacing Jai Narayan Pankaj.
Pankaj was transferred to become IGP of the Southern Range, Berhampur.
Niti Shekhar was posted as IGP of Provisioning at the State Police Headquarters.
Charan Singh Meena and Ashish Kumar Singh were appointed DIGs of Northern Range and Northern Central Range, respectively.
