Karnataka’s lawmakers approved extra spending for the state’s 2026-27 budget.

The total amount is Rs 7,042.69 crore.

Some of the money will pay for regular government expenses.

The rest will fund buildings, roads and other long-term projects.

A water program will receive Rs 289 crore to help drought-affected people.

Bengaluru roads will receive Rs 1,000 crore.

Money was also set aside for employment, youth clubs, housing and health infrastructure.

Both the Legislative Assembly and the Legislative Council approved the proposal.
