Sadiq Khan Arrested Over Religious Conversion, Murder Charges
Police in Andhra Pradesh arrested Sadiq Khan after three members of a family died.
The three people jumped into the Godavari river near Rajamahendravaram on August 16.
One of the people who died was Kovvuri Soujanya.
Police said Soujanya left suicide notes accusing Khan of forcing religious conversion.
She also accused him of killing her husband with chemical poison.
Based on the notes and a complaint from the husband’s father, police registered several cases.
Special police teams searched across several Indian states before finding Khan in Uttar Pradesh.
He was taken to court and sent into custody while the investigation continues.
