Ahmedabad seals confectionery unit, halts 1,500 kg lollipop stock
Gujarat: Ahmedabad civic body seals confectionery unit; halts sale of 1,500 kg lollipop stock · thehansindia.com

Health inspectors in the city of Ahmedabad went to check a factory that makes lollipops.

They found the factory was very dirty and messy to keep.

The people making the lollipops were not wearing aprons, caps, or gloves like they should.

The factory also did not have proper health check papers for its workers.

Because of these problems, the inspectors closed the factory right away.

The factory was only allowed to sell food, not make it, but it was making lollipops anyway.

All the lollipops that were already made could not be sold to anyone.

That is a lot of candy, about 1,500 kilograms!

The people in charge said keeping food clean is very important so nobody gets sick.

They will keep checking other food places in the city to make sure they follow the rules.
