IMD forecasts heavy rainfall, thunderstorms across India on Thursday

The weather experts in India, called the India Meteorological Department, said that Thursday will be a rainy day for many parts of the country.

Lots of places will see rain, thunder and lightning.

Some places, like West Bengal, Kerala, Goa, Maharashtra, Odisha and Uttarakhand, will get very heavy rain.

Other places, like Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana and Jharkhand, will also get heavy rain.

Thunderstorms come with loud thunder, flashing lightning and strong winds.

In some areas, the wind can blow as fast as 40 to 50 kilometers per hour.

Even stronger winds are expected over the sea near places like Oman and Somalia.

The weather experts told everyone to be careful because storms can be risky.
