Uttarakhand Sets Up Employment Cell for Returning Agniveers

Uttarakhand has created a special Employment Cell to help Agniveers find jobs after four years of military service.

The state says it is the first in India to create such a cell.

Uttarakhand has also planned a 10 percent reservation for Agniveers in government services.

Families of soldiers who died serving the country will receive more financial support.

Families of Param Vir Chakra awardees can receive up to ₹2 crore.

Dependents of other martyrs can receive up to ₹50 lakh.

A memorial called Sainya Dham has been completed in Dehradun.

The state says 28 eligible family members of martyrs have received government employment.

Soldiers and former soldiers can also receive a stamp-duty discount on certain property purchases.
