Western Railway cancels 7 trains during Valsad Electronic Interlocking block
At a train station called Valsad, workers are going to do a big upgrade to the signals that safely tell trains where to go.
This upgrade is called 'Electronic Interlocking.'
While they are working, part of the track will be closed for a few days.
So the train company, Western Railway, is stopping some trains completely.
Other trains will start or end their trips at different stations instead.
This will happen from Friday morning, August 21, until Sunday afternoon, August 23, 2026.
In total, seven trains will not run at all during this time.
Many other trains will change their routes so passengers can still travel part of the way.
Western Railway is telling passengers to check their train status before going to the station, using the NTES system or by calling the 139 helpline.
That way, nobody will be surprised if their train is cancelled.
Western Railway will undertake a Non-Interlocking (NI) block at Valsad (BL) station from 10 am on August 21 to 3:30 pm on August 23, 2026, for commissioning Electronic Interlocking.
Seven trains will be fully cancelled: Train No. 19056 Udhna-BDTS on August 22, and six services on August 23 including 19055 BDTS-Udhna, 20996 BDTS-Ajmer and 69154 Valsad-Umargam Road MEMU.
Several other trains will be short-terminated or short-originated, with services from Vadodara, Mumbai Central, Dahod, Vadnagar and Kanpur affected.
The block will affect the main railway lines in both directions, and some services may be regulated or rescheduled during the period.
Western Railway has advised passengers to check train status via the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) or the 139 railway enquiry helpline before travelling.
