Western Railway School Valsad Advances Its 107-Year Education Legacy
Western Railway Secondary School in Valsad began in 1919 with only three rooms.
It now teaches 394 students from Jr. KG through Class X. The school has achieved perfect Class X results for five years in a row.
Students also take part in technology, sports, Scouts & Guides and community activities.
In 2025-26, 22 students completed special courses connected with IIT Madras.
Three of those students received full marks.
The school has smart classrooms, laboratories, computers and a large library.
A new building is being planned so students can study through Higher Secondary school.
The school is also seeking inclusion in the PM Schools initiative.
Established in 1919, Western Railway Secondary School, Valsad now educates 394 students from Jr. KG to Class X.
The school has recorded 100% Class X Board examination results for five consecutive sessions from 2021-22 to 2025-26.
Twenty-two students completed IIT Madras School Connect certificate courses in 2025-26, including three who scored 100/100.
Its facilities include smart boards, a 30-computer laboratory, science laboratory, library, internet access and CCTV surveillance.
A new building is being developed to support proposed Higher Secondary classes across Science, Commerce and Arts streams.
