Samsung's Pune cooling hub targets India's expanding AI data-centre market

Computers can get very hot when they work hard.

The giant buildings that hold many computers are called data centres, and they need strong cooling so their computers do not overheat.

A company called Samsung built a new factory in a city in India called Pune that makes big cooling machines.

These machines, like air handling units and big fans, keep data centres cool and working safely.

The factory is run by a company called FläktGroup, which Samsung bought in November 2025.

It can make up to 6,500 cooling machines every year.

The cooling machines are made for India and other countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

New 'thinking' computers used for artificial intelligence get extra hot because they work so hard, so they need extra cooling.

Big tech companies are building more of these AI data centres, so cooling has become a very important job.
