Visakhapatnam Parties Urged to Cooperate on Electoral Roll Revision
SIR Roll Observer Urges Political Parties To Cooperate · deccanchronicle.com

Officials in Visakhapatnam are updating the list of people allowed to vote.

S. Bhargavi asked political parties to cooperate so the list is accurate and transparent.

Parties can report mistakes in writing and provide documents to support their objections.

Officials are especially trying to register young people aged 18 and 19.

They are also checking records for people who have died, moved away or did not respond.

So far, only 4,787 of about 104,866 eligible young voters have been registered.

Officials also want political parties to appoint representatives at 163 new polling stations.

The review took place as part of the Election Commission’s SIR-2026 revision process.
