Tamil Nadu Congress President Hails Agriculture Budget as Forward-Looking Roadmap

The government of Tamil Nadu made a big plan called the Agriculture Budget to help the state's farmers.

A leader named Manickam Tagore said the plan is a smart 'roadmap' for the future of farming.

The plan gives money to clean long canals that bring water to crops in the Delta area.

It will help farmers grow a grain called Kuruvai on millions of acres of farmland.

A new AI helper called 'Uzhavar AI' will tell farmers about weather, soil, pests and market prices.

The plan also pays for a new college in Thanjavur where people can learn about organic farming.

Women farmers can get training and a 50 per cent subsidy to buy drones for their fields.

Mr. Tagore also asked the government to pay more attention to saving water and rebuilding old lakes and canals.

He hopes the plan will be put into action quickly so every farmer in Tamil Nadu can benefit.
