Singareni Plans Major Gold, Copper Expansion Beyond Coal
Singareni is a mining company known mainly for coal.
It has secured a gold and copper mineral block called Devadurg in Karnataka.
Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka asked officials to explore the area faster.
He plans to visit the block on Thursday.
Singareni will ask the Karnataka government for help with permissions and infrastructure.
Officials must study the rocks and estimate how much mineral may be present.

He said Singareni would seek Karnataka’s help with permissions, infrastructure and administrative support.
The project is intended to help Singareni expand from coal into critical and strategic minerals.
Officials were asked to prepare a comprehensive action plan covering geological conditions, completed work and next steps.
