Pune Railway Expansion: 6 New Platforms, 60 More Trains, 2 Satellite Stations Planned In 5-Year Master Plan · freepressjournal.in

The Pune Railway Station is getting a big upgrade!

They are adding 6 new platforms and extending the existing ones to handle more passengers.

Currently, there are 50 trains starting from Pune, and this will increase to 110 in five years.

They are also adding 198 new coaches to 75 trains, which will help about 20,000 passengers.

The 60 new trains will benefit around 150,000 passengers.

Because there isn't enough space at the main station, they will build two new satellite stations and three mega coaching terminals at Alandi, Uruli, and Phursungi.

This will make sure that even with more trains, the main station won't be too crowded.

The goal is to make traveling easier and reduce the number of people on the waiting list.
