The audit was launched after the collapse of an under-construction warehouse in Garden Reach in June killed at least 16 people.
The audit, covering projects across 13 municipalities, has missed its initial July 31 deadline and remains unfinished, though there is no official confirmation of the total number stalled.
On July 31, the government extended its ban on construction of G+V and taller residential, commercial and institutional buildings until August 15.
Builders and the government broadly agreed on stricter safety measures, including no tolerance for structural deviations, inspections from the foundation stage, and independent third-party inspections.
