Bengal clears 192 construction projects, notices 27 over violations

A big warehouse that was being built in Kolkata fell down, which was very dangerous.

The warehouse collapsed in an area called Taratala on June 24.

Sixteen workers lost their lives, and more than twenty others were hurt.

Many rescue workers, including the Army and special disaster teams, helped search for people.

After this, the government decided to check other buildings being built in the city.

Minister Agnimitra Paul said 192 construction projects passed the check and are allowed to continue.

But 27 other projects broke the rules and were given official notices.

Some builders were allowed to make four floors but built six or seven floors instead.

The government said such rule-breaking will not be allowed.
