Houthi Red Sea Cargo Ship Attack Kills Pakistani, Indonesian Crew

A group of fighters from Yemen, called the Houthis, attacked a small cargo ship on the ocean.

The attack happened in a narrow waterway called the Bab el-Mandeb strait, near the Red Sea.

The ship was traveling from Salalah, a city in Oman, and had also stopped in Djibouti.

During the attack, three people who worked on the ship died.

Two of them were from Pakistan, and one was from Indonesia.

Afterward, the crew could no longer control the ship.

The Yemeni coast guard then came to help them.

The Houthis are supported by the country of Iran.
