Shailendra Singh to Head RERA, Sanjay Gupta Named Member
Some very important people got new jobs helping to look after how houses and buildings are sold in a place called Madhya Pradesh.
This group is called RERA, and it makes sure that buying a home is fair and safe for people.
A group of judges and government officials met in a city called Jabalpur to choose the new leader.
They picked a very experienced officer named Shailendra Singh to be the boss of this group.
Mr. Singh has worked for the government for many years before.
They also picked two other officers, Sanjay Gupta and Ravindra Singh, to help with the work.
Mr. Singh will stay in his new job for more than a year, until December of next year.
The boss job had been empty for four months because the person before had retired.
Now these new leaders will help make sure housing deals are fair for everyone.
The selection committee approved former additional chief secretary Shailendra Singh as the new RERA chairman.
Former IAS officer Sanjay Gupta was approved as a RERA member and Ravindra Singh as appellate tribunal member.
The committee meeting was held in Jabalpur and presided over by Acting Chief Justice Vivek Rusia.
Shailendra Singh's tenure will last one year and four months, ending in December next year due to the 65-year age limit.
The RERA chairman post had been vacant for four months since AP Shrivastava's tenure ended in March.
