Tata Sons Chairman Succession: Sir Dorabji Tata Trust Begins Process To Form Selection Committee · freepressjournal.in

Tata Sons is the company that leads the Tata Group.

Its chairman, N Chandrasekaran, has decided not to take a third term.

He will leave the position when his current term ends on February 20, 2027.

The Sir Dorabji Tata Trust has started the process of finding his replacement.

A five-person committee is expected to recommend the next chairman.

Three members would come from Tata Trusts, and two would come from the Tata Sons board.

However, the Sir Ratan Tata Trust is currently not allowed to hold trustee meetings.

This could make it harder to formally create the committee.

The group has time to complete the change if the trust’s regulatory problem is resolved.
