India’s economy grew by 7.8% during the first three months of FY27.

This quarter lasted from April through June.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said people’s hard work helped produce the strong result.

He also said India grew despite wars, crises and problems with supply chains.

Modi asked people to buy more Indian products and support local businesses.

He suggested avoiding unnecessary foreign travel, overseas weddings and gold purchases.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said manufacturing and financial services also grew strongly.
