Land Acquisition Completed for Hyderabad Regional Ring Road North
The government says it has finished buying the land needed for the northern part of a large road around Hyderabad.
The road section will be 161.5 kilometres long and connect several towns.
Earlier attempts to invite companies to build it were cancelled because the land was not ready.
Officials plan to invite new bids soon.
The project still needs important approvals from the central government.
The minister also discussed a wider highway and a proposed elevated road toward Srisailam.
He said the elevated road is intended to help pilgrims while limiting harm to the tiger reserve.
Telangana Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said land acquisition for the 161.5-km northern section of the Hyderabad Regional Ring Road is complete.
Two earlier tender rounds were cancelled because land acquisition was incomplete; fresh tenders are expected soon, with the DPR nearing completion.
