Telangana Seeks Centre’s Approval for Major Road and Ropeway Projects
Telangana wants the central government to approve several transport projects.
The state’s roads minister discussed the requests with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.
One proposal is a raised, two-level road between LB Nagar and Hayathnagar.
Telangana also wants a wider NH-65 and faster approval for a large ring road.
The requests include money for five ropeways that would serve tourist and spiritual destinations.
Another proposed raised road would cross a tiger reserve on the route to Srisailam.
The state also asked for funding for dozens of roads and three railway bridges.

Telangana Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy asked Union Minister Nitin Gadkari to approve pending state road, bridge and ropeway projects.
The state sought a six-kilometre double-decker elevated corridor between LB Nagar and Hayathnagar under the 2026–27 annual plan.
Requests included expanding NH-65 to six lanes plus two additional lanes and accelerating approval for the 161.5-kilometre Northern Regional Ring Road.
The minister sought Rs 1,230 crore for five tourist and spiritual ropeways and an elevated corridor on NH-765 through a tiger reserve.
Telangana also requested Rs 1,227.75 crore for 33 CRIF road projects covering 511.68 kilometres, as well as three railway over/under bridges.
