Maharashtra FDA Suspends Four Domino's Outlets Over Hygiene Violations

Maharashtra FDA Suspends Four Domino's Outlets Over Hygiene Violations
FDA suspends licences of four Domino’s, one Pizza Hut outlet in Mumbai · indianexpress.com

People whose job is to keep our food safe went to pizza restaurants in Mumbai, a big city in India.

They looked for problems like dirty kitchens, bugs, and food kept at the wrong temperature.

They found problems at four Domino's Pizza restaurants, so those restaurants were told they cannot sell food until they fix everything.

The restaurants need to clean up, fix their fridges, keep different foods separate, and keep better records.

The inspectors also checked more than a hundred other restaurants across the state.

They told many restaurants to make improvements, and a few other places also had to stop selling food for a while.

Even some small local eateries, bakeries, and snack shops were closed for breaking the rules.

One report says a Domino's in Karad was also suspended, but other reports say the places closed there belong to a different company.

The inspectors want everyone to follow the food safety rules so people can enjoy their meals without getting sick.
