This story is about a fire that happened very early in the morning in a town in India called Greater Noida.

The fire started at a shop where machines cut wood, called a CNC wood-cutting shop.

Two workers named Altamash and Aman were inside the shop when the fire started.

Brave firefighters rescued both of them, but they were unconscious.

Sadly, doctors said Altamash had died.

Aman was seriously hurt and was sent to a big hospital in Delhi called Safdarjung Hospital.

The fire was completely put out, and the electricity was switched off in the area to keep people safe.

In another part of India, called Uttarakhand, a landslide and a sudden rush of water entered a tunnel.

That separate accident killed seven people and hurt 13 others.

These events happened around the time of India's Independence Day, during a tough monsoon season.
