Two workers dead in fire at Kakatiya Mega Textile Park
A big factory caught fire very early in the morning.
The fire happened at a textile park in Warangal, India.
Firefighters and people who work there helped about 40 workers get out of the building safely.
But two workers could not get out in time.
They were stuck in a lift, which is a machine that carries people up and down between floors.
Sadly, they passed away because of the smoke and dust they breathed in.
The workers were Surya Prakash and Vinod Kumar Prajapati.
After doctors examined their bodies, they were handed back to their families.
The company said it will pay the families money as the law requires.
Local leaders also shared their sadness about what happened.
An accidental fire broke out around 1 am at the Ganesh Ecotech Private Limited unit in Kakatiya Mega Textile Park in Warangal.
Two workers trapped in a lift — Surya Prakash (34) of Uttar Pradesh and Vinod Kumar Prajapati (31) of Varanasi — died in the incident.
Preliminary reports say the two workers died due to inhalation of smoke and dust.
Fire services personnel and the company management evacuated about 40 workers to safety and later brought the blaze under complete control.
