Hyderabad Police Detain Minor With 48 Kilograms Of Ganja
Police in Hyderabad detained a minor who was allegedly carrying illegal ganja.
The ganja had reportedly been obtained in Visakhapatnam and was being taken toward New Delhi.
Officers found 24 packets weighing about 48 kilograms.
The packets were hidden in two air bags and two large briefcases.
Police estimated the ganja and a mobile phone were worth ₹24.5 lakh.
They said the minor worked as a delivery rider and faced financial difficulties at home.
An alleged associate named Ankit Kumar reportedly promised him quick money and introduced him to other suspects.
The minor was detained near Nampally while waiting to continue the journey.
He was later handed to Abids police and shifted to a juvenile home after being produced before the Juvenile Justice Board.
