120-Year Guntur Land Dispute Settled, Benefiting 812 Families
A land disagreement in Guntur district lasted for about 120 years.
Many families lived on the land but did not officially own it.
The government checked old records and surveyed the land again.
It removed the land from a list that prevented normal ownership and transactions.
Title deeds were then given to 812 families.
Together, the families received rights to 41.46 acres in three villages.
Officials said similar restrictions would be removed from more land across Andhra Pradesh.
They also announced plans for a canal project and a hospital.

The beneficiaries include 515 families from Vatticherukuru, 206 from Pullatagunta and 91 from Etukuru.
Authorities removed the disputed parcels from restrictions under Section 22-A after reviewing records and conducting a re-survey.
Union minister Dr. Pemmasani Chandrasekhar said 1.60 lakh acres across Andhra Pradesh would be freed from Section 22-A restrictions.
Officials also announced a ₹600 crore Guntur Channel project and a ₹100 crore AYUSH hospital in Prathipadu constituency.
