Devotees Throng Temples Across Godavari Districts on Sravana Friday
Many people went to temples on the last Friday of Sravana Masam.
They visited temples in Kakinada and nearby districts.
The Puruhutika Temple in Pithapuram was especially crowded.
Women performed special Varalakshmi Vratha prayers there.
Jana Sena leaders gave 10,000 saris to women devotees.
They also distributed turmeric and kumkum.
A medical camp was placed near the temple to help with emergencies.
People visited several other temples and some women recited the Sri Lalitha Sahasranama.
