Haryana launches Guru Ravidas Samrasta Abhiyan for 650th Prakash Parv
Guru Ravidas was a very wise teacher who lived in India a very long time ago.
He taught people to treat everyone with kindness, fairness, and respect.
This year, people are celebrating the 650th birthday of Guru Ravidas.
The leader of Haryana, Nayab Singh Saini, is helping plan the celebrations.
The celebrations are part of a big campaign called the 'Guru Ravidas Maharaj Samrasta Sankalp Abhiyan'.
In July, people collected special soil from the town where Guru Ravidas was born.
That soil is now being carried across the country in a special march called the Kalash Yatra.
When the soil reaches a village or temple, people mix it with the local soil as a sign of togetherness.
This helps spread Guru Ravidas's message that everyone in society should live together in peace.
The campaign will last until February 20, 2027.
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini chaired the first review meeting of the state-level committee for the 650th Prakash Parv of Guru Ravidas in Panchkula.
The 'Guru Ravidas Maharaj Samrasta Sankalp Abhiyan' was launched on July 29 from Seer Govardhanpur in Varanasi, the birthplace of Sant Ravidas.
The campaign will run across Haryana until February 20, 2027, aiming to take Guru Ravidas's teachings to every household and section of society.
Sacred soil from Guru Ravidas's birthplace is being carried through the Kalash Yatra and ceremonially mixed with the soil of local temples at state, district and village levels.
The state has launched the Sant-Mahapurush Samman Evam Vichar Prachar-Prasar Yojana to acquaint the younger generation with the teachings of great personalities.
