Tenzing Trailer Recreates the Historic 1953 Everest Ascent

A new movie trailer tells the story of two climbers who reached Mount Everest’s summit in 1953.

They were Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary.

Genden Phuntsok plays Tenzing in the film.

Tom Hiddleston plays Hillary.

The trailer shows that Tenzing had dreamed about the mountain since he was a child.

He kept trying to climb it as he became a sherpa.

Hillary says Tenzing knows the mountain better than anyone else.

The movie is directed by Jennifer Peedom and is called Tenzing.
