In Gujarat, a state in India, people with disabilities get a special pass to ride government buses for free.

Earlier, they had to carry a paper pass with them.

Now, that pass can be kept safely on a phone or computer using a secure app called DigiLocker.

This means riders no longer need to carry the paper document and do not have to worry about losing it.

More than 442,000 of these passes have been given out across the state.

The state government worked with technology experts to make this happen.

Other leaders in the country noticed the good work and gave Gujarat an award at a big meeting about keeping government data safe.

The pass also helps in tough times: if the pass holder dies in an accident, their family can receive 4 lakh rupees.

Making services digital helps the government serve people better and more easily.
