Dubai Student Builds Science Lab in Bihar, Aiding 2,232 Students
A teenage boy in Dubai wanted to help kids in rural India learn science by doing real experiments.
He noticed that many village schools did not have science laboratories.
Students there could only read about experiments in books and see pictures.
So he made a big plan for a real science lab.
He found a partner group in India and raised the money to build it.
The lab opened in June 2025 in a place called Samastipur in Bihar, India.
Around 2,232 students from grades 6 to 10 can now use it to explore physics, chemistry, biology and math.
He also trains the teachers over video calls every weekend.
Now he is writing a book so other schools can build the same kind of lab too.
Amay Ahuja, a Year 10 student at Jumeirah College in Dubai, established Bright Minds Laboratories in Samastipur district, Bihar.
The composite laboratory serves approximately 2,232 students in Grades 6 to 10 from government schools and rural communities.
Students can now perform practical activities in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics, bridging the gap between textbook learning and hands-on understanding.
Bright Minds Laboratories was formally established in June 2025 in association with KCS Foundation India, after months of planning and fund-raising by Amay.
Amay is now planning to expand the initiative to additional locations and is publishing a curriculum book to serve as a replicable model for other schools.
