Rekha Gupta, Shikhar Dhawan Inaugurate STEM Lab at Delhi School
A brand-new science and technology classroom, called a STEM Lab, was opened at a government school in Delhi.
STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
Kids at the school will be able to try robotics, coding, artificial intelligence and hands-on science experiments.
The Chief Minister of Delhi and a famous Indian cricketer, Shikhar Dhawan, opened the lab together.
Shikhar Dhawan helps schools through his own foundation.
A phone company called HMD helped pay for the lab through its social responsibility program.
More than 2,500 students are expected to use the new lab.
The lab is part of a bigger project called Digital Shiksha, which brings technology and digital learning to schools.
Since 2022, that project has already helped more than 25,000 students across India.
The goal is to make every child in government schools a future achiever.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and cricketer Shikhar Dhawan inaugurated a state-of-the-art STEM Lab at Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, Pitampura on Thursday.
The lab enables students to explore robotics, coding, artificial intelligence, interactive STEM equipment and hands-on science modules.
The lab is supported by Human Mobile Devices (HMD) under its CSR initiative and is expected to benefit more than 2,500 students.
The launch builds on an MoU between Da One Group and the Directorate of Education, Government of NCT of Delhi to strengthen digital education across Delhi government schools.
The initiative extends the Shikhar Dhawan Foundation's 'Digital Shiksha' program into its next phase, 'STEM Shiksha', after benefitting over 25,000 students since 2022.
