Indira Mahila Shakti sarees symbolise women's dignity: MLA Nagaraju

A man named Mr. Nagaraju is an MLA, which is a kind of government leader, and he used to be a police officer.

He went to a garden called HRS Gardens in a village called Mamunur.

Many women gathered there for a special event.

Mr. Nagaraju gave each woman a saree, a traditional piece of clothing worn by women in India.

The saree is part of a government programme called Indira Mahila Shakti.

Mr. Nagaraju said the saree stands for women's self-respect and dignity.

He said the government wants to help women become stronger, more independent, and better off financially.

He also said women are playing a big role in running government welfare programmes.

Mr. Nagaraju promised that every woman who is eligible will get one of these sarees.

Local leaders and representatives also took part in the event.
