Welfare, development top Krishna district priorities, says Ravindra

On Saturday, Krishna district celebrated the 80th Independence Day.

The celebration took place at the Police Parade Grounds in Machilipatnam.

A minister named Kollu Ravindra raised the National Flag.

He said the government wants to help every family in the district.

The government is building houses for poor families under the 'Housing for All' programme.

It also helps self-help groups so women can earn a living.

Schools, hospitals, roads, drinking water and drainage are being improved.

Students get help paying for their education.

Police officers received medals and workers got certificates for good service.

Students also performed cultural shows at the celebration.
