Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra want to work together on ports, ships, fishing harbours and moving goods.

Maharashtra minister Nitesh Rane met Andhra Pradesh minister B.C. Janardhan Reddy to discuss these plans.

Andhra Pradesh shared how it hopes to build three new ports.

Each port is expected to cost about ₹4,500 crore, and the state aims to finish them by 2027.

The state is also encouraging shipbuilding in three places and training young people for maritime jobs.

Its plan for fishing harbours caught Maharashtra’s interest.

The ministers agreed to share useful ideas and technical knowledge.

They also discussed ways to attract investment and improve connections for moving goods.

Andhra Pradesh plans to develop three under a landlord model.
Estimated investment
Around ₹4,500 crore for each Greenfield port.

Seaplane services
Nine locations have been identified, and a Srisailam–Vijayawada trial run has been conducted.
