VIT-AP University Welcomes New Students; Chancellor Calls Education Real Wealth
A university called VIT-AP held a big welcome event for new students starting in the 2026–27 school year.
Leaders, teachers, parents, and an industry expert came to talk to the students.
The special guest from a big technology company told students to explore who they are and what they can become.
He also told them to say thank you to their parents for their help.

He also said countries should spend more money on schools and colleges, asking India to invest 6% of its national income in education.
A former student of the university shared his own story about inventing a small device to find eye problems early.
In the end, the new students were encouraged to work hard, follow their dreams, and help make society better.
VIT-AP University organized a Freshers Student Orientation Programme to welcome its new batch of students for the 2026–27 academic year.
Richard King, Region Head – Academic Alliances at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Hyderabad, served as Chief Guest and urged students to discover their potential and build their identity.
Chancellor Dr. G. Viswanathan said education is the real wealth a person carries through life, as it cannot be washed away, destroyed, or stolen and grows when shared.
Dr. Viswanathan called on India to work toward allocating 6% of GDP to education and to expand access, citing lower Gross Enrolment Ratio compared to developed countries.
Guest of Honour Sandal Kotawala, a 2014 VIT Vellore alumnus and CEO of Alfaleaus Technology, credited the university for helping him develop a compact glaucoma-detection device (IVA).
