US Ambassador Sergio Gor met Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla.

Shukla was the first Indian astronaut to travel to the International Space Station.

Gor said Shukla’s training and space mission showed how the United States and India can work together.

Gor also met Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar in Bengaluru.

They discussed cooperation in space technology, artificial intelligence and trade.

Gor mentioned programs called Pax Silica and TRUST as ways to create business opportunities.

Separately, Tata Advanced Systems Limited agreed to work with Lockheed Martin and Raytheon on producing Javelin missile components in India.

Gor said this could help American companies and strengthen India’s manufacturing capabilities.
