US Ambassador Gor Meets Foreign Secretary Misri on Bilateral Ties

The United States and India are two big countries that are friends and work together.

This week, the American ambassador to India, Sergio Gor, met with a top Indian diplomat named Vikram Misri.

They met in New Delhi, the capital city of India, to talk about how the two countries can work together better.

Two days before that meeting, the American Vice-President, JD Vance, called India's Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, on the phone.

They talked about working together on trade, which is how countries buy and sell things, and defence, which is about keeping countries safe.

They also talked about special minerals used for new technologies and about energy.

The Prime Minister was happy to hear that the Vice-President and his wife had a new baby boy, and he congratulated them.

In July, other important leaders from both countries also met to talk about a special trade deal.

That deal helps the two countries buy and sell things with each other more easily.

So the leaders of India and the United States are talking to each other a lot these days to make their friendship even stronger.
