AK-47, IED Recovered From Concealed Maoist Forest Dump
Security forces found a hidden weapons storage site in a forest in Odisha.
They recovered an AK-47 rifle, another firearm, an explosive device and ammunition.
They also found detonators, walkie-talkies and tools.
Police said surrendered Naxals provided information that helped locate the site.
The search happened in Silkuta Reserve Forest.

Security forces recovered an AK-47, an IED, ammunition, detonators and communication equipment in Odisha’s Sundargarh district.
The cache was found in Silkuta Reserve Forest during a joint operation by the District Voluntary Force and Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad.
Police said information from interrogating surrendered Naxals led security personnel to the concealed dump.
The recovery included 15 detonators, two magazines, 20 rounds of 9mm ammunition, walkie-talkies and related equipment.
Police said the dump had remained concealed for around four years and could provide clues about Maoist activities in the region.
