Security forces searched a village in Manipur for illegal weapons.

They found guns, ammunition, radios and bulletproof vests.

The search was conducted by CRPF units, special commandos and Manipur Police.

Officials said the operation supports a larger effort to remove illegal weapons from the state.

Sixteen 12-bore guns and 1,225 rounds of ammunition were recovered.

As the forces left, a group of villagers, mostly women, blocked the road.

The villagers asked for the seized weapons and ammunition to be returned.

Security personnel brought the situation under control without further disruption.
