NHAI Plans Rs 794-Crore Etmadpur-Tundla Bypass to Ease Traffic
A new road is being planned to help traffic avoid Etmadpur and Tundla towns.
The road will be 16.2 kilometres long.
It will start near Kuberpur village and end near Garhijafar village in Uttar Pradesh.
The road will be built along National Highway 19.
It may have four or six lanes, plus service roads on both sides.
The project is expected to cost Rs 794.31 crore before GST.
Companies can submit their bids until November 5, 2026.
If the project proceeds, construction should take about two and a half years.
The completed road will then have five years of planned maintenance.
The National Highways Authority of India plans a 16.2-kilometre greenfield bypass for Etmadpur and Tundla in Uttar Pradesh.
The project is estimated to cost Rs 794.31 crore, excluding GST, and will be built on the Agra-Etawah section of National Highway 19.
The bypass will run from Kuberpur village to near Garhijafar village in Firozabad district.
It will include a four- or six-lane divided carriageway, paved shoulders and two-lane service roads on both sides.
Bids close on November 5, 2026; construction is scheduled to take 2.5 years, followed by five years of maintenance.
