Amaravati Championship Draws Over Two Lakh Sports Participants
The Amaravati Championship is a large sports competition in Andhra Pradesh.
About 2.07 lakh athletes joined different stages of the event.
Some competed in district contests, and others reached the State level.
State-level events were held from August 24 to 27.
Young athletes under 17 and under 23 competed in 12 sports.

About 2.07 lakh athletes participated in the Amaravati Championship – 2026 across Andhra Pradesh.
Around 84,000 athletes competed in district-level events, while 10,000 took part at the State level.
State-level competitions ran from August 24 to 27 across 29 venues in Under-17 and Under-23 categories.
Events covered 12 disciplines, including kabaddi, hockey, badminton, archery, chess, boxing and weightlifting.
Over ₹8 crore in pending incentive awards will be transferred to about 270 sportspersons on August 29.
