New CAT Jammu Complex Inaugurated to Strengthen Service Justice
Dr Jitendra Singh opened a new building for the Central Administrative Tribunal in Jammu.
The tribunal helps government employees resolve work-related complaints.
Officials said the Jammu Bench handles many cases quickly.
Across India, the tribunal had completed about 93 per cent of its cases by June 30, 2026.
The Jammu and Srinagar Benches handled cases transferred from the Jammu & Kashmir High Court.
They also received many new cases.
The Jammu Bench was given a second Division Bench because its workload grew.
Officials said only about 8 per cent of Jammu Bench cases were appealed to the High Court.
Dr Jitendra Singh inaugurated the Central Administrative Tribunal’s new Jammu Office-cum-Court Complex on Sunday.
The minister said the Jammu Bench has among the country’s highest disposal rates for service cases.
Across India, CAT received 10,01,177 cases and disposed of 9,32,723 by June 30, 2026.
The Jammu and Srinagar Benches received 41,389 cases, including transfers from the Jammu & Kashmir High Court and fresh filings.
The Jammu Bench was expanded to two Division Benches, while about 8 per cent of its cases went on appeal.
