J&K Colleges Withdraw 4,249 Books, Mostly From Kashmir
Officials in Jammu and Kashmir are checking books in colleges and libraries.
They have examined more than 2.1 million books and publications.
So far, 4,249 books have been taken out of circulation.
Most of these, 3,996, came from institutions in Kashmir.
Jammu accounted for 253 withdrawals.
These figures do not include books that had already been formally banned.
