From Complacency to Confidence: PM Modi Cites Sea Zone Example

India's leader, PM Modi, gave a speech about how the country thinks about big problems.

He said nations are rarely stopped by a lack of money or resources.

Instead, he believes the real problem is often the way people think, which puts limits on what seems possible.

He used India's coastline and ocean as an example.

Because of old thinking, 99% of the coastline was treated as a 'no-go area,' meaning people were not supposed to explore it.

He said India had basically decided not to look into the ocean depths, which he called a 'poverty of thought.'

Now, he said, India has decided this could not continue.

The country has opened up 99% of those areas as 'go-ahead zones.'

He also said India still depends on crude oil because of a flawed mindset.

He described the overall change as moving from complacency to confidence.
