CSS Shield Supports Bereaved Families of Government Officers
A group of government employees has started a support program called CSS Shield.
The program helps the families of government officers who have died.
Union Minister Jitendra Singh launched the initiative in New Delhi.
He said government rules should better respond to employees and their families.
He also said colleagues can help one another during very difficult times.
The Central Secretariat Service Forum had already collected money voluntarily for such families.
Since 2020, officers contributed about Rs 1.30 crore for around 65–70 families.
The new program plans to give at least Rs 15 lakh to each bereaved family.
Its organizers hope to provide more support as more officers participate.
